2004 Kia Optima: Engine Shakes Hard?

Suddenly while driving check engine light comes up and then vehicle starts shaking and jerking hard and violently.

Turning off the engine for few minutes and that starting the vehicle helps,but only for few minutes.This same problem repeats.

Yes this is likely to keep happening. It sounds like you had a misfire that was corrected for now but if it has been a long time since this was tuned up with spark plugs and wires you need to have that done. You may have oil in the spark plug tubes from a leaking valve cover and that will need to be addressed at the time the wires and plugs are replaced.

Testing this possibilities will help.
