Bluetooth and Uconnect Not Responding?

2011 Dodge Charger Uconnect and Bluetooth buttons and functions are not responding or operating at all.

Its a new vehicle and all has suddenly stopped working.

WHAT IS THE REASON OF THE PROBLEM?

Many others too have noticed this issue.There a Chrysler update released for this problem.Its a known issue.Due to many complains about this same problem,the Chrysler has released the software update to clear this issue.This is a known issue on the 2011's and it is caused by a flaw in the Hands Free Module software.

Go to your dealer and get the update software run on your vehicle to get the Bluetooth and Uconnet phone functions working like before.


IS THERE ANY TEMPORARY RESET TO MAKE IT WORK?

No there is no such temporary reset to make it work.Its a known issue due to actual software problem and to clear the problem new updated software is released by company and dealer should do it for free.But yes in some cases its seen that even after Running the the new software in the vehicles system the Bluetooth and uconnect system does not respond.In that case there is simple system reset,that if the system has "locked up", you should be able to reset it by disconnecting both battery cables and holding the 2 cable ends together for 2 minutes, and then reconnecting them to the battery.

Uconnect Phone Not Available Message

2011 Dodge Vehicle Shows Uconnect Phone Not Available message on Radio Display.

WHAT IS THE UCONNECT PHONE?

Uconnect and radio,these are two different function but it  is in the integral of radio system. Uconnect is controlled by the radio but utilizes other parts to operate.
On the older vehicles the UConnect button was only on the radio if the vehicle was equipped with the system. Starting a few years ago they commonized the radios for all vehicles so the button is there whether the vehicle has the rest of the system or not.




WHY I AM RECEIVING THIS MESSAGE?



If you get the UConnect phone not available message when pressing the button that means the van is not equipped with the system. It has the button to control it but the other components aren't there.To make the Uconnect phone work.That's why you are getting the message, that's telling you that in your vehicle Uconnect is not available.


OK,CAN I MAKE UCONNECT WORK ON MY VEHICLE?

Yes you can make Uconnect work on your vehicle.At present there is no Uconnect System on your vehicle but there are kits available.That you need to install in your vehicle to make Uconnect work on your vehicle.

On your van you'll need to have a Mopar accessory UConnect kit installed. The kit comes with the Hands Free module which does the actual communication between the phone and radio, and comes with the microphone and wiring harnesses to install it all. The kit takes about an hour to install.It comes with mini instruction page to do the installation yourself.Or you can get it install at Auto part store,who does radio installing works.
