2004 Hummer H2: OBD Code P0141?

Check Engine light code Po141.

First of all check the fuses.

In the underhood fuse panel, check the O2 A and O2 B fuses. If these fuses are both good then the problem is the heater circuit in the bank 1, sensor 2 oxygen sensor.
In this case sensor needs to be replaced. This sensor is on the drivers side, behind the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe.

It will not harm anything. This sensor just monitors efficiency of the catalytic converter. It does not affect the way the engine runs at all. Okay to drive for a while until you are able to fix.
But dont ignore the issue.
This details will help.
Thanks.

2000 Mercury Cougar: Parts Replacing cost for Catalytic Converter and Axle?

Going for branded parts is always advisable.
After market parts are not bad parts. But there performance is not Accurate and they dont last long.

Where is the original branded parts give correct performance and vehicles computer system easily detects this branded parts. They also last long and are very durable and strong compared to aftermarket parts.

Unfortunately the problem with converters is you need to get one that as close to OE specs as possible. Those "universal" or "discount" counters you can get at places like AutoZone will not solve the problem. As per  the Dealer price of the converter is around $1300. Many professional garage mechanics have fairly good luck with the aftermarket brand name "Walker" which will probably cost you around $500-$600.You can use this brand products also. The labor time guide calls for 1 hour to complete the job.

As for the axle- these are a dime a dozen these days, and most are "remanufactered" which keeps the price down to around $79, and the labor time guide calls for about an hour to complete the job.

For both jobs: Labor rates vary from shop to shop.
For a job of this type, a "fair" labor rate can by anywhere from $80-$140 per hour. Shop around, and find a reputable shop that warranty their parts and labor.

This details will help.
Thanks.
